Outlook Mobile Setup

Overview

This document will show you how to sign into Outlook (email) on your mobile device. Before working through this document make sure you have the following.

• Microsoft 365 username and password
• Multifactor Authentication Setup 

iPhone

Install Apps

1.Before you proceed you will need to install the following apps on your phone using the App store. 

• Outlook App
  • Click https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-outlook/id951937596 to install.
• Microsoft Authenticator App
  • Click https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-authenticator/id983156458 to install.

Add Mailbox to Outlook

• Enter your Email at the top of the screen.
• Then click Add Account. 
• Next screen you will click Open Authenticator

• Now you will be directed to the Microsoft Authenticator App.
• Enter in your Password  
• Click Sign in

• After entering your password you will need to provide your Multifactor Authentication (MFA) method.
  • This example uses push notifications. Another common method is texting
• When you receive the code, enter it on your phone to Approve the sign-in.
  • Do not enter 39 for your code. This is just part of the example. 

5.

• Now you will be directed back to the Outlook app.
• After a brief amount of time loading you will see the emails display

Android

Install Apps

Before you proceed you will need to install the following apps on your phone using the Google Play store. 

• Outlook App
  • Click https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&pcampaignid=web_share to install
• Intune Company Portal App
  • Click https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.windowsintune.companyportal&pcampaignid=web_share to install

Add Mailbox to Outlook

1. Enter your email
2. Click Continue

3. Enter your email password
4. Click Sign In

5. On this page you may add another account if you wish by clicking “Add”. Otherwise, choose “Maybe Later”
