These instructions will show you how to check for a Dell computer’s Service Tag. This service tag is unique to your computer and can help ViaTek identify your device. 

Depending on your workstation type (Desktop or Laptop), follow the instructions below.

Dell OptiPlex Desktop

On a Dell OptiPlex Desktop, the Service Tag should be located on the left side of the computer. However, they have also been known to be on any of the other sides, including the front and back.

Dell Latitude Laptop

On a Dell Latitude Laptop, the Service Tag is located on the bottom. This should be the case with most brands and models.
